Our Pastor, Dr. Mike Files

Pastoring for 20 years!

Dr. Mike Files is a dynamic speaker who has the ability to communicate with both the young and old. His practical Biblical messages deal with the pressures and problems that we all encounter.

Dr. Files was saved at the age of 26 on July 19, 1983 – just two days after reading a gospel tract that was left on his door by a member of Bible Baptist Church. Since then, Dr. Files has received his Bachelor of Pastoral Theology degree from Bethel Baptist College in 1994 and his Doctorate of Divinity degree from Louisiana Baptist Seminary in 2002.

After graduating from Bethel Baptist College, the Lord used Dr. Files and his family to start the Bible Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. (presently Colonial Baptist Church) In 1996, the Lord impressed upon Dr. Files’ heart to return to Jacksonville as pastor of Bible Baptist Church.

God has given Dr. Files a heart not only for the people of Jacksonville, but also for people in foreign lands. Whether he is standing behind the pulpit in Bible Baptist Church or visiting our missionaries on their foreign fields, Dr. Files has one purpose–to reach the lost with the Gospel of salvation.

Dr. and Mrs. Files have two grown sons who are both serving in fulltime ministries here at Bible Baptist Church with their families.

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them. But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
